William Henry "Harry" FISHER |
- The identity of Harry FISHER remains a mystery but my best educated guess as to who he might have been is William Henry FISHER, son of Robert FISHER and Caroline BOWEN. I base this on his occupation, where he lived and traveled, family rumors and the name of his first born son. I may be proven wrong in the future at which time I will unlink William Henry FISHER b 1845 from my tree.
He came from a long line of confectioners. In 1901 he is a widower, living in Bristol and lists his occupation as "Wine and Spirits Merchant". This is the same occupation that Harry FISHER has on the birth certificates of his children. William Henry FISHER also helped with the family business and probably traveled to his brother's confectionary in Tewkesbury, which would have taken him right past the Grapes Hotel.
